Have I been blacklisted?
Anthropologie is my favourite fashion shop and over the past few years I’ve spent a lot of money there. I’ve never had any problems until this summer. I ordered a dressing gown for £85 on 13th June but after a week I started to wonder why the order I hadn’t arrived. I emailed customer services asking for an update and was told to wait until 7th July and to get back in touch if it still hadn’t arrived. All this time the Royal Mail tracking website was showing the item as “awaiting carrier collection”. On 6th July I asked for another update. I just kept getting fobbed off with replies that they would investigate the matter. Eventually someone replied that the item was delivered on 5th July but they would not show me any proof (Royal Mail always take a photo). I was quite upset that they were basically lying so I raised the issue with PayPal who I originally paid with. Within days I won the dispute and got a refund but never got an apology from Anthropologie. Now having £85 credit in my PayPal credit account which I cannot withdraw I thought I would purchase a different item. The dressing gown I originally wanted is now out of stock in my size so I found some shoes I liked. I placed the order but within an hour I got an email telling me they had cancelled my order. I keep trying to order different items with different payment methods but around 10 orders have now been cancelled without reason. I have emailed customer services asking why this is but they didn’t seem to understand my query and now I’ve been fobbed off with the usual statement that they will investigate. Has Anthropologie really blocked me from making future purchases because they/ Royal Mail lost my order? This is incredibly unprofessional and petty. I am still waiting to see any proof that the original package was delivered, from my end the status is still showing “awaiting carrier collection”. The customer services are very poor and I feel that I have been mistreated by the company.

Please do not give order from this company unless you are prepared to part with your money and get nothing in return. Poor customer service advisors which suddenly create this timeframe of 10 working days before they can consider a refund. They will give you a Royal Mail Tracking number when you order but don't take the parcel to the depot for the number to be activated. Should be reported to Trading Standards.

I work in retail so understand that a customer returning an item is never as welcome as a purchase! However when you’re greeted with a rude and abrupt sales person it’s really awkward(although I guess that’s the intention). The girl in the Bath store has a very unpleasant attitude and she’s not the only one. It’s so strange because the majority are fine and one or two really lovely.
If i could have an email address to write to that would be helpful instead of leaving my email here. Thanks
The person on the till in Anthropologie Richmond store in London is very rude. This is like the 2nd time I have a bad experience with her so she can’t be always having a bad day. First time I bought 3 candles and a piece of jewellery she wrapped them horribly and without care. They really looked awful. She had a rude attitude but I thought oh well she must be having a bad day. Today I went to buy an earing it was for 38 pounds. After I paid she just placed it on the till for me.
I said do u mind if I have a small bag as its a gift. She said all i can do is give u some tissue paper. I actually didn’t really want a bag , but the way she put it on the till was just so rude. I said I wanted a bag so she turned and rolled her eyes and placed it on the till. Really really rude. I don’t think Ill buy from the store again if she is there.

Oh my goodness, just the worst. I ordered an ottoman from them. I called them to see if I could modify the order and they said this wasnt possible. The customer service lady then went on to cancel my order without me asking her to, blamed it on me and then told me my only option was to order the same item again. To add insult to injury, the refund for the cancelled order will take up to 45 days to come back to me, providing they request the refund with my bank. They say they have done this via fax. My bank does not have a fax machine because it is 2022 so no request has reached them.
If I email them or call them they say there is nothing more they can do and refuse to give me their complaints department's email.
They have the most bizarre customer service I have ever encountered, basically ignore the problem and it will go away.
They are now ignoring my requests for them to resolve the refund issue and igoring my requests for details for the complaints department. Anthropologie, if you read this - I have literally sent you a copy of the email you need to send to me so I can forward it to my bank! You can't take peoples' money and then ignore them!

Loyal customer no more here. I spent over $1k only for items to arrive already stained up. Customer service was, BY FAR, the worst I’ve get dealt with. Problem was not rectified. Even on here, the responses from Anthropologie are abysmal. I love their products, but when they’re far overpriced, come damaged, and the customer service is embarrassing- mehhh, I’ll shop somewhere else. Them and their sister companies will not get my money again.
Appalling service
I bought 2 mugs for my sisters birthday and 1 arrived smashed. I spoke to someone via the online chat service who was very nice and assured me that he would send me a replacement, he asked me to send pics and details to the email address on the website. I got a message back to say they would review this and they would email me soon. 4 weeks passed, no reply. I spoke to 2 more agents via chat the following days who promised me that they would escalate the issue and send get me a new mug sent out. I didn’t believe them so I emailed again, replying to my first email contact. They have promised to get back to me days ago with a resolution. Still nothing!! Appalling customer service!! Avoid!!

Appalling level of customer service!
I received email confirmation that item was shipped and will be delivered by Royal Mail (48hrs tracked). Two weeks later nothing delivered and the item have not even been received by the Royal Mail. There is clearly an issue and the order probably got lost in-between. The customer service suggests that I should just keep waiting.
UPD: Shipping confirmation email stated the order will be delivered in 3-5 working days, customer service is now saying I should wait at least 14 (!!!) working days before they take any action.

I like the products and good sale they…
I like the products and good sale they have, but the items are often not well packaged and arrive broken. Customer services are for the most part non existent and very rude. They will ignore customers or will end the chat abruptly without helping you or without response. The website has a lot of problem also. They will constantly cancel your items without any apology. I'm starting to dislike this company.

Terrible customer service
Terrible customer service! Emailed the address that is available on their website, with pictures of receipt, the faulty product and because I bought this in a store, the cant help me? Recieved a really blunt email back saying we are unable to assist. What difference does it make? Now I have to use fuel, pay for parking and waste more of my time to go back to store- how is this acceptable when you have sold me faulty product? Judging by the other shockingly poor reviews on here- I'm not the only one. I will not be shopping on here again
Items not delivered - avoid
I ordered 4 items. 2 arrived within the 3-5 day window for delivery. The other 2 items didn't arrive. After 10 days I contacted customer services through the chat facility. I was advised that it looks like the parcel had been lost.
I asked for an immediate refund and expressed that I was unhappy with the service. I was offered a discount on my next purchase which I declined because I will not be shopping at Anthropologie again. It's not worth the risk at ALL. The missing items were for a gift which I ordered 2.5 weeks in advance of the date needed - you'd think that would be safe!
For such a big company with supposedly high-end products, you don't seem to care about customers at all.
Plus the mini plant mister I bought for £16 has a plastic top sprayed to look like metal - I could get better for cheaper elsewhere.
Got my money back thanks to Smart2Pay…
Finally after 6 months I've got my money back, only thanks to the payment company Smart2Pay! Saw their name on my bankaccount after making my payment. The shops of Anthropologie are fine which make them trustful. But what a big mistake. Their outsourced online service is bad and even criminal. My payment for an order didn't go through, though the money was payed. Their customer service (mail, phone, social media) is a kind of loop of changing agents (outsourced) referring to each other every time, and who want you to explain your case every new time over and over again. And never do refunds for my payed money. My conclusion after 5 months this is their conscious policy: keep customers dragging as vague as possible and don't do refunds. And in fact, that is stealing. And because they do this on purpose, it's even criminal. Hopefully the pressure of payment companies on this brand can help more customers.

I have had three orders cancelled
I have had three orders cancelled. Having spent along time selecting items the whole order is then cancelled. I complained at the first and told the system did this and they didn’t know why. The site says this may be a stock issue but I have never have do with any other site - its a very poor customer experience.

The worst, AVOID!
I wish i’d read reviews before placing an order. I ordered 3 and a half weeks ago and it still hasn’t been dispatched, i’ve asked to cancel the order but apparently it’s too far along in the process?!
Customer service is dreadful, how can this company still be operating.
